We are so excited to be kicking off 2017 with our very first blogger feature! We will be regularly featuring our favourite bloggers so you know who we're following!
Our first feature is Aria Di Bari, an incredibly talented young designer and full time fashion blogger with amazing style. Aria's effortless chic French vibe gives us the daily inspiration we need to get up and get dressed in the morning. You'll find her blog here.
We were lucky enough to interview Aria recently and here's what she had to say!
When did you start blogging? What inspired you to start?
I actually started blogging in 2008 but I shut down the blog in 2012 because of a job that took all my time (I used to be a handbag maker in London). At the time, I started a blog just to follow the flow, I think. I was reading all of these fashion blogs and I thought I could do it! I launched a new blog a year ago, because I missed blogging a lot and even the blogging world has change a lot, I don't regret this choice.
What is the best thing about being a blogger?
Definitively being able to connect with people all around the world. I also met a lot of very nice and inspiring bloggers. What is the toughest thing about being a blogger? I would say proposing so many new outfits every time without shopping all the time. When you're a fashion blogger, it's an easy trap to fall into (buying lots of new things) and unfortunately I don't have millions in my bank account. So I usually recycle my outfits a lot, and I believe that's why I have built a strong reader base despite my blog being really young.
What do you do when you’re not blogging?
I usually work a lot on my blog but I'm also a young designer, so when I don't blog, I work a lot on a future clothing line project. I love reading and watching tv shows/ films (especially in the horror genre). I also love playing online video games with my brothers.
How would you describe your signature style? Is there someone who really inspires your fashion choices?
I don't think I have a signature style yet, because I like to experiment with my style and step out of my "fashion comfort zone". But I usually love monochrome outfit and playing with proportions and textures. One of my biggest fashion inspiration is Lou Doillon, she has that very effortless chic Parisian style that I love. I also really like Alexa Chung.
Do you have any new years resolutions?
I don't actually believe in new years resolutions and I don't think I never had any... If I feel I need to change something in my life, I'll work for it right away, to make that change happen.
What is your favourite bag of this season and what is your favourite way to style it?
Genuinely, the Veronica clutch in red snake from Paul's Boutique Chritmas collection. It's a gorgeous and very versatile one, I love how it add a luxury touch to any outfit. I usually like to style it some basic clothes such as a white shirt paired with a pair of blue jeans so the bag stands out.
Thanks so much for your time Aria!
